最新一期的《城市画报》以“台湾话题王子+《PPAPER》创始人+广告界身价最高者”的标题来报道台湾平面设计师包益民,在网上有另一篇简短的采访和作品展示,在这里

看到其中一段介绍他们进军孕妇装市场的故事:

2003年,37岁的胡至宜怀孕。在知道自己怀孕的第一天,身为公司总经理的她就跟包益民说:“我不上班了。” 胡至宜全心全意在家待产,却发现买不到心仪的孕妇装,她说市面上的孕妇装又贵又难看,久而久之会让女性失去警戒心及羞耻心,任凭身材随意发展。在于包益民商量后,胡至宜决定进军孕妇装市场。成衣市场需要巨大的资金支持,包氏国际无法拿出大笔资金,于是胡至宜从以100万新台币起家,创建Ive&Sean品牌。她在家画了20张服装草图,找打版师朋友试做,完成第一批成品。她舍弃传统经营手法,通过网络试销,结果一炮而红。

一个有趣的创业故事,说明“个人问题就是社会问题”。

前几次小容在blog里介绍芯片之父Carver Mead,他曾在介绍采访时说了了下面这段话:

TR: What about looking at the marketplace?

MEAD: Sure, you can analyze the marketplace, talk to customers, do all the things they teach you in business school. The problem with demand pull is that by the time you have a real product, the market will have moved on. Youre doomed to playing catch-up. I prefer technology pushfind an interesting new technology and try to come up with uses for it. A solution looking for a problem is supposed to be a terrible epithet, but in my experience it works.

A solution looking for a problem,创业者要相信“个人问题就是社会问题”,如果你对当前的产品或者服务不满意,那么请不要只停留在抱怨这个阶段,动手去改变这个事实。动手的成功率是50%,而抱怨之后依然无动于衷的人的成功率是0%。同样,这也是一个简单的测试,如果你正在创业,或想要去创业,想一想用户到底需要的是什么,你可以为他们提供更好的产品或者服务吗?!解决问题才是真正在创造价值。
